The international AccorHotels Hotel Group rushed into the Slovenia’s market by signing a franchise agreement with two hotels in Maribor owned by the Terme Maribor tourism company. The French hotel group enters the hospitality market of Slovenia via its Orbis Hotel Group partner from Eastern Europe. AccorHotels is interested not only in Maribor, but in other parts of the country as well, including the capital. In 2018, the 3* Orel Hotel in the very center of Marbor and the 4* Piramida Hotel, located near the central bus and train stations, will become part of the Ibis Styles and Mercure hotel chains, respectively. Thus, the two hotels will enter a global group of almost 4,200 hotels in 95 countries around the world. These changes in Terme Maribor will promote the company within the tourism market and boost the traffic of foreign visitor, since guests from abroad trust the brands involved and their quality of services.
